"Just came back from a week getaway on the OBX. This was our third time staying at Shutters. We tried another place when we went down earlier this year in March. HUGE mistake. It had good reviews online but it was nothing like the website or reviews. So we made sure to return to Shutters in the fall. Everything about Shutters is fabulous. You can’t beat the proximity to the beach. Every single staff member that we encountered were so friendly. The room was as nice as we remembered from our previous stay. Everything was clean, water pressure was excellent, the breakfast is good, and the private balcony is a perfect little spot to enjoy the beach with your room inches away. You cannot go wrong with Shutters and we will never stay anywhere else in Kill Devil Hills."

"The Inn was cozy and very clean and neat. The owners were very considerate towards dietary needs and worked hard to make breakfast pleasant and informative. I enjoyed the assistance they gave with both general and detailed knowledge of the local area and history.
