"Spontaneous booking, everything was spot on. Our room featured a kitchenette (which we did not use), we had a good nights sleep in a comfy bed. Parking was on thr premises, we even could leave our car for a little bit longer after check out the next day"

"By mistake I emailed wrong hotel to ask for twin bed - but I had booked family room At no point did the hotel ask if this was correct Reception staff were unhelpful to say the least - booked dinner at the cellar bar- to anyone else it’s a sports bar! TVs and chips! Went back to reception to be told restaurant full- had to drive to get dinner at a near by place 6 miles… Called back for drinks - bar area a bit cold Called reception in the morning to find out how much swimming cap is, as unable to use the pool without one! Reception told me price and then did not mention pool does not open until later as bank holiday Breakfast staff and food were faultless Francis and Claire cheery and helpful Lots of old awards around Need to think about kindness and care and what is the hotels unique selling point and maybe this could be considering customers?"

"Amazing country house hotel, old school and classic style. Attended an amazing wedding and the staff were excellent, can’t fault it at all !"

"Safe parking at hotel. Check was fine but our first room had a very 'chemical' smell so we paid an extra £25 for lake view room. Breakfast was nice but bacon & eggs had been sitting a while ... Spa area nice except no where inside to sit at pool & difficult to swim due to lanes closed for classes most of the afternoon. We had a nice stay overall but not sure if we'll return ."
