Guest Access:

You’ll have exclusive use of the entire cottage with a private entrance, private riverside deck and hot tub (not enclosed) overlooking the River Lochay. Private parking beside the cottage. The riverside paths/grounds nearby are shared with neighbouring cottages—please take care near the water. Hot tub is for registered guests only.

The Neighborhood:

Neighbourhood

Almond sits beside the River Lochay on the edge of Killin. It’s a ~10-minute walk to village pubs, cafés and shops, and Killin Golf Club is a minute away. Loch Tay is close for paddleboarding/kayaking and boat trips; the Falls of Dochart and the Ben Lawers range offer classic walks and views. Peaceful, rural setting—you may spot herons or deer by the river.



Getting Around:

Private parking at the cottage. A car is recommended (local buses are limited). Driving time is roughly 1 hr 30 from Glasgow or Edinburgh, traffic dependent. Nearest rail: Crianlarich (then bus/taxi).



Other Things to Note:

• Private deck & hot tub are for Almond guests only. The deck/patio is not enclosed and close to the River Lochay—please supervise children and take care near the water.

• Starter kit (arrival only): tea & coffee, washing-up liquid, a few dishwasher tablets, laundry powder, initial loo roll and bin bags.

• Linen & towels (including robes) are supplied; beds are made for arrival.

• Hot tub use: shower before use; no glass; replace cover when not in use; tub is for registered guests only. Our team may access the deck briefly for routine water checks on tub.

• Rural location—expect wildlife and the odd midge in season (bring repellent).

• Quiet hours 22:00–08:00.

• No smoking inside.

• Private parking beside the cottage.

• Deck safety: Timber decking can be slippery when wet or icy. Wear footwear, no running, and take extra care near the hot tub and river. In cold snaps we pre-grit the deck.



Interaction with Guests:

We offer self check-in via a lockbox at the door; your code arrives before stay. Our local team is available 08:00–20:00 via Airbnb messages (fast replies), with a 24/7 emergency line for urgent issues. We respect your privacy and won’t drop by unless requested or required for urgent maintenance (e.g. hot tub are serviced every 24 hours). You’ll receive a digital house manual and local tips before arrival.
