"A mediocre hotel—I’d say it’s the Marriott’s poor cousin. The room lacks a mini-fridge and a safe, even though there is clearly space for them; furthermore, a lightbulb in the chandelier was burnt out. There is also no room service. The entrance faces the train/subway tracks, making it impossible to pull up and park directly in front of the hotel; finding the place was very confusing, as the street is overrun with homeless people. The night security guard on Sunday was extremely rude when asking me to leave the lounge, making for an uncomfortable experience. After checking out, I asked the front desk staff if parking was included; they confirmed that it was. However, upon arriving home, I discovered I had received an email billing me for parking—something I had specifically asked about more than once to ensure it was already paid for. I would not stay here again."

"I was a little hesitant in booking this hotel but I'm glad that I did. We enjoyed our stay. This old gem is located near alot of things in Htown. We appreciated the free shuttle within 1mile radius which saves on Uber.. We did decide to park in the garage across for $20 but no in/out versus valet. The other great thing there is the 2nd floor restaurant/ bar, The Dispatch...The bartender,Ty, was great, attentive and very nice..along with her manager (K?, can't remember his name) but the drinks and food was good...Overall, from checking in (even the valet guys) to checking out was great!!! We will be back."

"Tv was messed up someone had to come fix it. Shuttle didn't run every 30 mins as advertised, my daughter and I had to walk 20 mins after her game to get to the hotel and the very next morning I had to walk 20 more minutes so I wouldnt be late for her game. The shuttle aspect was one of my main reasons for booking this hotel! They were doing construction on the hotel and it had a bad odor! Will never stay here again!"

"We enjoyed being in downtown near our event. The breakfast process was unique, but wonderfully managed. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar. We did book just a few weeks before and there were many events in town, so I'm sure inventory was low. We ended up in an ada room which was not ideal. The sliding door was a beast and there was no definition between the shower and toilet so the entire space got wet. This also meant for awkward dressing spaces with the bathroom being wet and needing privacy from other family members. "

"It was wonderful from check in to check out. The staff was great! Everything was clean and breakfast was great as well. My family enjoyed all the amenities and it was in the best spot in Houston to get to there we needed to go. I can’t wait to go back! The hotel was beautiful. The pool was awesome and the views on the roof top was amazing. Worth every penny! "
