"The rooms are tiny, which is too be expected in Brooklyn, but some of the design choices were weird. The shelf over the sink seemed like a good idea, but makes it almost impossible to wash your face without banging your head. The shower enclosure clearly had to be macgyvered with a tension rod and curtain to keep the bathroom from getting soaked. And the stark white everything, with just a bit of black and red, made it all look kind of grim. Absolutely no sign of the cute outdoor patio table set up that's in the picture online - there's a roof area, but it's not accessible to guests. Bottom line, it was functional and very clean, but not really what I would call "boutique.""

"Room was dirty with mold in the shower, breakfast wasn’t just bad - it was somehow actually sad and depressing, staff were disengaged at best, and there is nooooo space to even walk around the bed in the room. On the positive side, location is convenient! We ended up leaving a day early even though they made it clear we would still be charged. It was just too gross."

"Do yourselves a favor and don’t repeat our mistake. Due to a flight delay getting into JFK we decided to stay here for the night as it was a short drive from the airport and it was too late to take the train we had planned on taking. The photos on Expedia looked nice enough for one night of rest before continuing our journey. But the place is a dump. It reeks of stale cigarette smoke and I probably got 4 hours of sleep at most due to the noise from the street and waking up coughing due to the air quality. We had to switch rooms from our original room because of stains and cigarette burns on the bed. Second room was better but by a slim margin. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough in the morning, and hopefully didn’t get sick. The gentleman that checked us in was nice, probably because we were a welcomed departure from their usual clientele. I would not stay here again."

"The worst experience, I was eager to leave early. This was the rudest staff, we had no body wash in the shower and the front desk refused to bring us soap and body wash to our room several times until I mentioned I would make an official complaint. They wanted me to go down to the lobby to fetch them myself but eventually they did bring the body wash even though they said they had no one available. The hotel is next to a Uhaul storage facility and it gets loud at 7am on the weekend so you can’t even sleep in. The AC is right next to the bed blowing cold air in your face with no way to adjust the airflow. The bathroom door is also right next to the other side of the bed, so when you exit the bathroom you are right next to the bed, very poorly designed space."

"The best thing about the hotel is its location. For those who go on a cruise the location is the best - a short taxi ride or an easy 10-minute walk. We also greatly enjoyed our dinner at a small restaurant just around the corner. However, in the hotel itself we had quite a few problems. The coffee machine in our room was not working, and, when we told the receptionist about it, we were told that maintenance people would be available much later. The next morning it still wasn’t fixed. Another problem was the air conditioner. No matter how we changed the settings on it, it was blowing very cold air, and it was doing it very loudly. Didn’t have good night sleep because of it. The included breakfast is a paper bag with a few items which we would not choose ourselves. There was no juice or eggs or anything hot except for coffee. I would like to mention that one of the receptionists, Xavier, was very nice and helpful."
