Towards the downs From the east-west footpath below Bishop's Hill looking south. To the right of the picture beyond the hedge line the gallops can be seen curving away to the right. At the left of the picture another line of gallops is seen, with jumps. The first geograph for this square shows a closeup of those from a gate just beyond the hedge line. Church in Kingsclere. The church is situated in the centre of the upper half of the grid square. The picture was taken from the east side of the church looking west (hence problems with the sun!). Kingsclere is an attractive village with many very old buildings.
