"It was very special experience to stay at Japanese traditonal house with my family. It was a little bit far from the main sightseeing site but we were ok because we had a car. Kinkakuji was especially awesome."

"The house was great and in perfect condition. Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful. Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night.
