Room not great at keeping noise out - could hear footsteps overhead from residents upstairs and voices carried across the count yard late at night. "Very friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space."

"the hotel was great ,quite a unique looking hotel right in the centre of harrogate, everything was good, only thing was the hotel rooms are very hot at night no air con but they do supply a fan"

"Clean and tidy room but the decor is looking a bit tired and the bathroom shower a bit mouldy in places. Good breakfast with lots of choice and decent value for money. Overall a nice hotel with a good bar and restaurant, good last minute deals, good location, Would stay again. Only negative really is that the parking is overpriced."

"The room was clean and had tea and coffee available, a small but good enough ensuite shower ,sink and we, with clean towels. Simple checkin and informative introduction to the hitel, breakfast was good , we had a room above the main entrance which did wake us up earlier than normal due to delivery's and the traffic noise . Ample car parking and the hotel was about Seven minutes walk from the centre of Knaresborough."

"One night stay at this busy hotel. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant and were suprised how busy it was. A word of advice - if your room overlooks the rear of the hotel you can expect to hear loud noise from the kirchen extractor unit which runs from 7am to 10pm and if you're tired and want to slepp or have children beware"

"Excellent 3 night stay the room was very spacious a little dated but spotlessy clean and comfortable. Bathroom was also large and spotless with bath and over shower. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff are very welcoming and very helpful. The big bonus was being allowed to park my car early on the check-in day and check in later. Absolutely fantastic service. Many thanks. Will definitely consider using again even Harrogate"

"Lovely hotel, in a great location to explore Harrogate. All staff very friendly and helpful. We had bed, breakfast and evening meal. The evening meal was extremely poor in quality. The breakfast was lovely. It was a very hot day and evening, so was really difficult without air conditioning. Overall it was a nice hotel but next time we would just stay for bed and breakfast."
