"Staying at this property was truly an incredible experience. My wife and I (American tourists visiting Japan for the first time) stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was so friendly, especially the wonderful staff in the 6th floor restaurant. Our room, a 12-tatami was spacious and comfortable with a great view of the lake and mountains. "It's a block away from Shinjuku station, one of the exits is right next to the hotel, so can't be beat for convenience. This also means that some of the best food in the world is nearby. What I like about Sunroute is that, though, it's only a block away from one of the busiest stations in the world, even being a block away, it's rather quiet and civilized. 30-minute subway ride from Haneda for circa $5USD. Can't be beat! "

Excellent hotel

"Highly recommend this hotel! Location is great, so close to Shinjuku station, walking distance to major attractions and restaurants/bars. In the heart of shinjuku, but on the quieter side which is perfect after a long day. Lawsons and Family Mart close by, staff was nice. Rooms were very clean, modern, small but standard Japanese hotels. Bed and pillows were comfortable. "
