"Very nice, old building with lots of charm. Noise carries but the host does everything they can to help minimize including providing ear plugs and reminding guests to be courteous and quiet. Clean showers, free coffee in the morning, and clean quaint rooms. There was no laundry available like we thought but the host let us know about a launder in town. Parking was free and accessible. Very walkable to great shops and restaurants. We loved our stay."
Wonderful holiday house on the Nollur farm at Eyafjord
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful week here. We saw aurora 6 nights out of 7. I saw humpback whales breaching from the property (using binoculars to search next to the whales watching boats) and the next day on a boat trip. The views of the fjord and mountains were stunning. It was snowy when we arrived which added to the beauty. The hot tub was lovely and warm. It fills up in a couple of hours. Lovely to sit in and watch the snow/sunset/aurora. The beds were really comfy with lovely warm bedding extra covers and it was very peaceful at night. Great wardrobe space. We enjoyed the music system. WiFi strength was very good. The underfloor heating kept the property warm and cozy when it was minus 11 outside. The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of storage. Liked the storage in the hallway and living room too. The kitchen was a little small and could do with a mini oven or air fryer but we still cooked a lot of nice meals. I loved the coffee machine that grinds coffee beans. We would come again for definite. "
"We had a fantastic stay at this spacious house right on the fjord in Grenivik. The views were stunning every morning, along with bean to cup coffee! The hot tub was a brilliant way to unwind after exploring the area. The property itself was generous in size, comfortable and well-equipped - a great quiet base for exploring the region. Location although outside of Akureyri was fine. Being past the toll road it’s a short drive to Húsavík, and good for visits to Goðafoss and other highlights. The pool in Akureyri was great, and the smaller pool in Grenivik (about 20 for 2Ad/2Ch), good alternative to a spa!. On the activity front, nearby horse-riding was a real highlight. A great picturesque base for our trip and would happily stay again."
"Lovely location by the fjord. Lovely views, quiet and peaceful.
Cosy cottage with great amenities, including the hot tub.
We were very lucky to see the northern lights too on our last night from here. "
