"Our stay at the New Inn 1730 was only overnight, and we arrived around 6pm on a Sunday evening. This is a welcoming & friendly pub, with restaurant and accommodation. The owner did his best to accommodate our needs during our short stay, and is still finding his feet a little having only recently taken on the business. It is comfortably furnished and well equipped with an open plan kitchen/dining/living space and a separate bedroom and bathroom. There are pubs and restaurants in the town and car parking is available nearby at Sainsbury's. Stella replied quickly to my comments and had kindly left me some nice biscuits!Haltwhistle is 2 miles from Hadrian's Wall with its excellent walking possibilities...
