"Oh, how we loved this place! The house is beautiful and has everything you need and more. We spent most of our time at home on the back deck watching and listening to birds. The outdoor tub and shower were a nice bonus too. Proximity to a wonderful beach and great snorkeling makes this place ideal. Judy was very responsive when the power went out the first morning. The next door neighbor is super nice and friendly and you may have donkeys and cows wander by the back yard. Don’t hesitate to book! Only downside is mosquitoes!!! "

"Room was clean and comfortable, everyone very friendly. We had a deluxe ocean front room, views were awesome. But you can’t swim in front ocean too rough. Great coffee shop on site and the restaurant food was delicious. Just be aware that it takes a while to get there 2 lane roads with One lane bridges. People are curtious and take turns. Would absolutely return "

"My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon for a whole week. It is such a peaceful environment, and is very close to the beaches. It is in a more rural area of the island, so you can see the stars super clearly at night. Some people complained of the chickens making too much noise, but we didn’t find that to be a problem. The yard is super private, and you’re about 98% out of view of your neighbors. "

Winter time we often had the beach to ourselves. Very few passing beachgoers. Tunnels beach and snorkeling is within walking distance down the beach 5-10 minutes. YMCA next door had basically no activity, but I could see it being busy from time to time. Public access to the beach runs along the west property line, but the majority of the traffic turns left to go to tunnels beach. The house next to this rental sits on the same site and has a shared back yard. We spent considerable time on the back porch and hammock reading and enjoying the privacy, which would have been greatly diminished by another group using the same space. Kitchen has everything to cook, which is nice as it is 15-20 mins to the nearest food in Hanalei. With all that considered we had an outstanding stay at this ideal home."
