Tiny House Stay with Cozy Fireplace and Nature Views in Koonoomoo, Australia

Experience farm life, near the Murray River. This tiny house is set on a peaceful 5-acre property, just 4 minutes by car from the river and surrounding bushlands. Surrounded by lush paddocks, mature trees, native flora, breathtaking sunsets, friendly farm animals, and fresh seasonal veggies.

The Space:

This sits in the quiet countryside of Koonoomoo, just 5 minutes from the agricultural town of Cobram and 40 minutes from Shepparton. The tiny house is set in a tidy, green paddock, fenced with timber rails (50m x 50m). It faces west, offering peaceful sunset views each evening.



Set over 100 meters from the Goulburn Valley Highway, it offers a peaceful stay with minimal road noise. Perfect for those seeking quiet countryside holiday homes in a tiny house setting.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking essentials, and excellent bathroom facilities. These include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, a hand basin, and a gas-heated shower.



IMPORTANT NOTE: As we are a working hobby farm, you may hear farmyard and animal noises during your stay, including sounds from sheep, lambs, an alpaca, chickens, and birds from the aviary.



Guest Access:

Guests can access the tiny home and its surroundings. You're welcome to explore the middle paddocks with our birds, chickens, and veggie gardens! For safety and privacy, please avoid the back paddock and all areas around the main house.



Preorders available with 24 hrs notice:



- A basic cold continental breakfast (cereal, milk, fruit, bread, juice) is available for an extra fee.

- Guests are welcome to enjoy a hands-on farm experience during their stay. Depending on availability, you can help feed hay to our friendly sheep and alpacas — a wonderful activity for both kids and adults.

- Season permitting, guests are also invited to pick fresh strawberries from our garden to enjoy throughout their stay.



Interaction with Guests:

Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you.



The Neighborhood:

This is located in Koonoomoo, just a quick 5-minute drive from Cobram. Explore the quirky charm of Cactus Country, Australia’s largest cactus garden, or wander through the magical Bullanginya Dreaming, where light installations bring stories to life at night. For family fun, enjoy Sporties Mini Golf or splash around at Tocumwal Splashpark, which features WWII bomber displays.



Nature lovers can discover the tranquil Ulupna Island in Barmah National Park, relax on the sandy shores of Town Beach in Tocumwal, or enjoy the unique Thompson’s Beach in Cobram, home to red gums, kayaking, fishing, and a lively Saturday Park Run.



Getting Around:

By car:

- From Melbourne to Koonoomoo, 3 hour drive, approx 263 kms.

- From Shepparton to Koonoomoo 49 min drive, approx 71kms.

- From Albury NSW to Koonoomoo, 1 hour, 35 min drive, approx 138 kms.

Is reachable/ accessible by 2WD.



By public transport:

- Minimal public transport available as we are semi- rural.

- You can get from Melbourne to Shepparton by V line train, and then catch a bus from Shepparton to Cobram, however the timetables are not regular, and there is no public transport available from Cobram to our property in Koonoomoo.



Other Things to Note:

- Gas BBQ grill is available

- Free Drinking water available

- Family-friendly accommodation

- No smoking inside the tiny home, or outdoors

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- We have two friendly, calm 10-year-old Beagles

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays will incur an additional charge

- Mobile reception is good for Telstra, while Optus and Vodafone are weak; other networks have no signal.



ADVISORY



- Pets are limited to one house-trained pet (under 15kg). Please provide 24 hours' notice. For safety, pets must remain on a leash due to nearby livestock. Pets can access the paddock, but the fencing may not securely contain smaller dogs.



Important note:



- Due to the nature of the property, be aware of reptiles and insects

- BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests.
