"The room was quite basic but had everything we needed! It was a great place to stay. It’s right next to the bus stop which was perfect and there is a great ramen restaurant in the building as well as a delicious Okonomiyaki restaurant across the street! "

"The property is a historic residence converted for hospitality. It's lovingly restored with modern facilities comfortable for westerners while still feeling like you're in historic Japan. "We were glad we rented a car to get around. You need to have reservations for dinner or you will not be able to eat. Lastly, make sure you ask for instructions on how to run the hot water on for showering, I figured it out, but it took a while. The house is beautiful and great for families with young kids, they have a play room for kids."

"Very professional staff, some of whom (maybe all? I'm not sure) speak English. The hotel lobby has a door directly to a convenience store with food, health and beauty products, and summer supplies such as parasols. My room, while small, had a desk, full bathroom, and plenty of space for my luggage. The hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks away from the main Okayama train station, which has both local trains and the Shinkansen. I highly recommend!"
