"Tucked away above the bar/cafe, this onsen was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were very traditional in the Japanese style, and we had access to the entire area as we were the only guests staying on that night. The staff were completely lovely and helpful. The showers and toilets were well kept and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The location is perfect to walk around and explore Koyasan. Definitely worth a visit!"

"This location is so quiet and serene. It was a privilege to watch the monks morning prayers. Rooms were large. Location was walkable to the various sights. I misunderstood the webpage when I booked and thought that dinner and breakfast were included but no meals are served here. I’m not sure if it is the time of year or whether it is always the same but local restaurants seemed to only be open from 9 to 4."

"Staying at Fugen-in Temple in Koyasan was an incredible experience. The atmosphere is peaceful, the staff are welcoming and kind, and everything was beautifully taken care of. The room are clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. The temple is located right in the heart of Koyasan, which made it very easy to walk everywhere and explore this magical place. "I had a comfortable stay at Washington Hotel Kansai Airport. The room was spacious, much larger than I expected for an airport hotel. The location is excellent—just a short walk to the terminal and train station. Great choice for travelers catching early flights."

"Room didn't seem vacuumed since I saw hair that did not belong to me. One of the bath towels had brown stain and unsure if it was clean. Other than that, room was clean and staff was nice. Unfortunately, I only found out airport shuttle only operated early in the morning when checking in. I wish I knew this far in advance. So, I had to take the train instead since my flight was a bit past noon."

"Incredible. The vegetarian dishes were the best we ever had. Our room, the semi-suite was luxurious and welcoming. The staff was friendly and spoke very good English. We do not regret going to Koya and staying at the Ekoin. It was definitely a highlight in our trip. From the ceremonies to the food to the cemetery tour at night with an amazing guide. "
