"The hotel is vintage in age, design and decor - so different from "seen one, seen them all" modern facilities. Location is close to town but feels rural and a bit rustic - just what we look for in lodgings while on holiday. Staff went out of their way to be helpful (calling for taxis and food delivery when our phones wouldn't operate) and making suggestions for day trips in the area. They treated us like family! "A wonderfully positioned collection of rooms overlooking the sea. Rooms are a comfortable size with cold storage and simple cooking facilities. Nice shower and private sitting-out area. Restaurant limited but we had a specially booked group dinner and that demonstrated what the kitchen is capable of - thoughtful food, well-executed - really positive. All staff, without exception, very helpful and full of humour."

Still a great stay despite the foregoing. The car ride in is harrowing as it is a narrow country road which occasionally shrinks to one lane. Dining was very nice except the lunch menu which was spartan. "
