"Tolle Aussicht auf den Vänern ohne Schnickschnack. Alles in dem Objekt ist einfach, manches erneuerungsbedürftig. Prunkstück: die Veranda, deren Geländer man aber besser nicht zu nahe kommt. Innen alles kompakt, ein Bett durchgelegen. Das kleine Haus mufft stark, auch nach vierzehntägigem Lüften- wir haben es vorgezogen ein Zelt vor der Veranda aufzuschlagen. "It's a historic hotel, but has been carefully renovated and modernized. Loved the included dinner in addition to breakfast. Only negative was the ongoing railroad improvements construction across the street, but hopefully that will be concluded soon."

"We spent three nights here. The hotel is wonderful. Staff, breakfast and service was excellent. We will certainly stay here the next time we come to Karlstad. Also interesting history of the former prison and well designed museum. Highly recommended!"

"We were visiting our foreign exchange daughter and her family. The hotel was lovely. Our room over-looked the river. It was spacious and comfortable. American-sized shower! The breakfast buffet was amazing. We loved the location, which was walking distance to everything. The pub "Bishop's Arms" was perfect for unwinding after a long day. We would certainly stay there again."
