Casa Makoshi Bonaire was our first stop on our trip around the world which will take 11 months. I seriously doubt that the experience we had in Casa Makoshi will be topped by any hotel/apartment or other lodging we will encounter in the next 11 months. The information from Remko before our arrival was suburb. Not only about the casa itself, but also about the sights/diver location/restaurants in Bonaire, but also about the nature fee, the tourist tax and he arranged, against a very good rate, a rental car.
The casa is less than a 15’ drive from the airport in Kralendijk and well situated for day trips to both the North of the island as the South (but this is probably valid for every lodging as the island is very small). The casa is situated in a small gated community of 7 houses of which some, amongst which Casa Makoshi, have two floors. As the second floor was not rented out during our stay, I don’t known if this will generated a lot of sound polution. The casa has a direct view on the small but conveniently warm en clean pool. When we arrived late in the evening the managers of the casa Ton and Mariet were waiting for us and handed over de keys, remote for the gate and gave instructions for the house. The casa was stocked with some coffee, beer, soda and other goodies for the first night and day. As some guest left behind some stuff also, a lot of things are present in the house (bbq bricks, tea, sun block etc.). The casa is well equipped even for a long stay (months) as e
