The Space:

The Roman Penthouse offers a comfortable and well-equipped stay in the heart of Kralendijk.



The penthouse features three bedrooms: the master bedroom with one king-size bed, bedroom 2 with one king-size bed, and bedroom 3 with one king-size bed and a sofa bed. There are three bathrooms, which is very convenient when staying with several people. The open kitchen connects directly to the living room and is equipped with built-in appliances, including a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, freezer, oven, coffee maker and kettle. Outside, you will find a balcony with seating and access to the shared garden and pool deck.

Good to know:

- No dryer: there is no tumble dryer, but your laundry usually dries very quickly in the Caribbean sun.

- No BBQ: barbecuing is not possible here, but there are plenty of waterfront restaurants to enjoy.

- City sounds: due to the central location, you may occasionally hear the lively ambiance of Kralendijk in the background.



Guest Access:

As a guest of The Roman Penthouse, you have access to the entire penthouse with its three bedrooms, three bathrooms, open kitchen, living room, balcony, and the shared outdoor areas such as the communal garden and pool deck with the swimming pool. You can freely use all described facilities during your stay. To welcome our guests warmly and explain the accommodation and our beautiful island, we personally host all arrivals. The Neighborhood:

Kralendijk center with its boulevard, piers, sailboats and motorboats on moorings, and colorful facades: here you are right between restaurants, bars, boutiques and the departure points for various boat trips, including sunset tours and the water taxis to Klein Bonaire. It is ideal if you want everything within walking distance and love evening strolls along the waterfront. For divers and snorkelers, Playa is a great base with quick access to west coast sites; for foodies and shoppers, this is the place to be. Expect vibrancy, convenience and the shortest travel times to the main town's amenities.



The Roman Penthouse is approximately 1.5 kilometers from Van den Tweel supermarket, 170 meters from Dive Friends Chachacha dive center, 170 meters from Chachacha Beach, 350 meters from the center of Kralendijk and 100 meters from At Sea restaurant.



Sunwise insider tip: While staying at The Roman Penthouse, a trip with the water taxis to Klein Bonaire is highly recommended. From the Kralendijk boulevard, several boats depart to the uninhabited islet Klein Bonaire, which is part of the protected Bonaire National Marine Park. Along its white sandy beaches you can enjoy excellent snorkeling over coral reefs with many colorful fish and often sea turtles. Bring plenty of drinking water, sun protection and, ideally, your own snorkel gear, as there are no shops or restaurants on Klein Bonaire.



Getting Around:

Bonaire and especially the hotspots like Washington Slagbaai National Park, the remote pristine beaches, and the kitesurf and windsurf locations, are best enjoyed with a rental car, as our lovely Caribbean island has so much more to offer beyond the immediate surroundings of The Roman Penthouse. With your own car you can explore remote snorkel spots, dive sites and local restaurants at your own pace. We strongly recommend renting a car so you can get everywhere easily. Most roads on Bonaire are paved, but for nature areas like the park, a pickup truck or SUV is advisable. The park roads are unpaved and sometimes rough, making a regular car less suitable. There is no public transport on Bonaire and taxis are limited, especially on busy days when a cruise ship is in port.



Other Things to Note:

Check-in to The Roman Penthouse is from 3:00 PM and check-out is until 10:00 AM. Early arrival or late departure may be possible on request, depending on other reservations. Smoking and pets are not allowed in our accommodations, and we kindly ask you to keep noise down at night. Enjoy your stay at The Roman Penthouse!
