For the last 4 years I’ve been coming to Sweden Rock Festival and always stayed 5 nights at the Grand Hotel. Conveniently located, very close to the train / bus station. Close to the square behind, with hops and restaurants. Breakfast is excellent, with lots of choice and the hotel is super quiet. Staff is very professional and helpful. I’ll surely come back again next year for the Festival, and I’ll definitely choose the Grand Hôtel again.

It has changed since last time we visited and the breakfast is much better. The bathroom felt clean and well maintained. Service is always good. It was a bit hot inside without AC but there is a fan, though some noises. In general a good place for a family or couple.

Nice hotel, clean and walking distance from the train station and the town with seversl restaurants around. We got a big and clean room. But we were a bit disappointed because the wifi was only available near the reception and the hallway but it did not reach our room. The hotel staff with the name Sandra, made our stay nicer by her effort to make sure our needs are met. A big contrast from the breakfast lady who did not listen to a simple request to change the honey. The honey looks very old, already crystallized and hard to press. I asked the lady to replace it., She just took the other old honey from the other corner of the breakfast area and tried to press it herself with out result and then left me there with out replacing it. Tea with honey is like coffee to others, without it, it can affect your morning and kind of ruin the enjoyment of breakfast.

The room was okay and the breakfast too. The reception was empty when I arrived, with sign to call a phone number (really, in the daytime?). And the room was not ready at 15.15 when I arrived, although it says the room is ready from 15.00, and I had to wait 5 min. There's is a very noisy Pub/venue at the townsquare - first rock music untill 1 hour after midnight, and the techno music for two hours until 3. So, I didn't sleep until after the music ended, and I had to get up at 8 :-( There was some earplugs in the room, as if you they there was a problem... ? But, I can't sleep with earplugs as they make noise in my head... You could also hear babies crying and couples having sex out in the hallway, so as such the hotel is not for people who want a quiet stay. The hotel is definitely not for my sensitive ears, while others might sleep well even with noise... Maybe they should warn guest about this issue up-front. After all, it is better to be warned, than to stay and get disappointed…

Vi bodde här under Åhus beach festival. Det tog en knapp halvtimme ut till festival-området. Jättefint, rymligt familjerum. Mycket billig parkering utanför hotellet eller precis gatan nedanför (stor och många lediga platser när vi var där), personalen tipsade om den. Frukosten var inte den största men helt okej. Dottern fick pannkakor så hon var nöjd. Allt som allt är vi mycket nöjda och jag skulle absolut boka hotellet igen.
