What a great find this hotel was! Modern, clean and the BEST included breakfast I have ever had at any hotel.

Loved our stay here! When we arrived Sam, at the front desk, helped us get settled straight away. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station but you cannot hear trains pass. We got a room over looking the river which was very relaxing. The breakfast, which was included, was great!

The best hotel we have ever stayed at. The views are amazing and the hotel is something out of a good movie. The staff were terrific. We went on a guided one hour torch nature walk that the hotel puts on Friday night. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world.

This place takes you back in time, with all the charm of the old days combined with the functionality of modern times. Excellent service, amazing food, super pet-friendly, and a perfect location—ideal for visiting Salzburg or simply enjoying the peace of nature!

This was just an all around excellent stop outside of Salzburg. The village was one of the nicest I've seen in Europe. Don't miss the cemetery, it's beautiful.

This is an excellent hotel for its price point! I felt like I got a lot of value for what I paid. The rooms are clean though no frills. The staff is helpful and attentive. The spa was clean and nice, although it is only open for four hours in the evenings. If you are used to some of the more premium hotel/spas in the Berchtesgaden area, you won’t be impressed. That said, the fact that the Explorer had one, didn’t charge extra for it, and kept it very clean is a huge plus for me. The breakfast...

Wonderful experience in this amazing hotel. To the points that matter the most: room was very comfortable (including very nice bed and excellent shower pressure); breakfast with great variety and good quality; staff very polite and helpful; check in and check out very fast and efficient. Definitely coming back and definitely recommend to others!

Loved the location of the hotel. You can see the city below from the mountain and you can look at the Alps mountain range. You can also go on a hike. I wish I had more time. I will definitely visit this location again.

I thought I was booking an inexpensive hotel conveniently located near the highway. This place far exceeded my expectations: this hotel could be a destination in itself. The swimming pools (in and out), the grounds, the decor (handcrafted, unusual furniture).....and the breakfast! Fabulous.

Nice modern hotel which once an insurance company. So you have the feel of staying in an historic hotels with modern amenities.

Leopoldskron was a highlight of a 6 country/7 hotel trip. Friendly staff, beautiful property, and easy access to old town via car or taxi (typically about 10 euro each way). The main building is an amazing thing to explore...beautiful rooms and great history. Our room wasn't in that building...more plain jane/contemporary design but on the same property. Hotel staff was very friendly/helpful. Grounds/gardens were a bit rough...didn't detract from the stay at all, but was surprising to see...

Clean and comfortable the staff was wonderful and helpful, very good breakfast and very convenient location to get to the city in minutes by bus. Hassle free comfortable stay with great parking we would love to come back.
