Luxury 4BR Estate with Ocean Views, Pool, Slide & Gourmet Kitchen: Waipio Heaven
10/10 Excellent
"Incredible views! Seeing it in person is just amazing. We had a group of 4 adults and 3 kids that stayed here and we all fit comfortably. Clean, spacious and a great, responsive host. The pool was also amazing! It was like finding a swimming hole in the middle of a rainforest and the slide was a hit for the kids. The outdoor shower in the master suite was one of my favorite parts of the house. I didn’t think I would like it but it was so relaxing out there, especially at night with the moon peeking through the trees. If you have younger kids, here are a few things to be aware of: the main house has the master bedroom and the “secret room”. We didn’t feel the secret room was a safe option for our youngest (steep stairs, mezzanine style loft with pony walls and very high bed). The other 3 bedrooms are accessed by walking outside across the patio. Great rooms over there! But if you’re wanting to stay in the master and kids to stay in other rooms, you’ll be separated. So keep that in mind when considering bedroom set up with younger kids. Other things to note: the little town of Honoka’a is cute but half the stores/restaurants were closed even during their “open” hours. You need to drive quite a bit to get to other things not right there in that very small town. You also need to drive to get to most beaches. The black sand beach that is right there was closed when we went unfortunately. Let’s be honest though, we didn’t want to leave this house very much anyways!!"
Quiet and Peaceful Getaway on the Ground Floor and a short walk to the pool !

"Nice unit with a nice comfortable home atmosphere. Kitchen especially well equipped. Enjoyed several breakfasts and dinners on the lanai with beautiful setting.Only issue was that parking was only for one vehicle, not two as had been communicated. So any guests have to park on the street and walk in. Apparently this was a recent change at the Waikoloa Villas Complex. Will likely return as this worked well for us and was just minutes from family living in Waikoloa."
"Best location on the island, fully stocked kitchen, extremely gracious and helpful live-in property manager, and very private- but the best part was the porch and outdoor shower! It would be hard to find a better outdoor shower location on this planet…we all LOVED our stay here!"
Oceanview Mauna Kea Luxury Villa - Private Pool & Spa - In-home Chefs Available
10/10 Excellent
"This was our third time staying at this home with another family, and it continues to be such an incredible experience every time. Richard & Lissette are wonderful hosts — extremely communicative, responsive, and clearly care so much about the guest experience. We had a small issue with the TVs during our stay, and they handled it immediately and professionally, which we really appreciated. The setup of the house works especially well for two families sharing. There are two great primary/master bedrooms with King beds, plus a room with two queens that became the kids’ room for us. The house has absolutely everything you need, especially the kitchen, which is so well stocked and functional for families.Staying here makes our Mauna Kea trips feel completely seamless and relaxing. We can’t wait to come back again!"
"Had a nice stay here in Hawi without completely breaking the bank, tho I do miss the old funky hotel that used to be a brothel. This was considerably more comfy, if pricier. Still a decent price. Nice people, right around the corner from the main area of shops in town so coffee and meals were simple. Great option."

"Very clean. Well equipped kitchen with basic items. Enjoyed the Kona coffee on the Lani every morning looking out over the golf course. Comfortable beds. Living room is comfortable for two but could have used another seat for our group of four. Gated parking with convention assigned spot was great to have access to. It took a little extra effort figuring out where to meet the person to get the card but it worked out and they met us at the rental car lot after a coue texts back and forth. Plenty of beach accessories. 2 older low reclining chairs but none of the pocket zippers open anymore. 2 older camping chairs helped but are too high for the umbrellaswhen shade is needed. One good umbrella, one other is a bit hard to screw into the sand on some of the beaches. The end is a bit worn. There is a smaller umbrella that needs to be tied down or held down of there is much wind. A couple Snorkel masks that worked fine. Didn't try to blow up and of the many inflatables. Boogie boards and floaty noodles were great for floating around. Cooling down the bedrooms took a little effort after a few of the hotter days with the one room having a/c but worked out ok."
