"Fantastic location. Upstairs very comfortable and well equipped,downstairs quite old and run down and quite cold.had problem with heaters tripping fuse. Overall very enjoyable stay,enjoyed log burner."

There was only one extra blanket for the beds for my grandchildren who had come to NZ from 30 + degrees . Thanks owners for letting your property. I nursed with Di North in PN Hospital many years ago when we trained and Dr North was Med Superintendent? ( or have wrong family)??"

"Perfect location. Thoroughly enjoyed watching all the bird life. Waking up to Tuis and Kereru flying so close. Had a wonderful family get together."

"Very nice views. The house came with a kayak so take a trip up the little rivers nearby. You are out of Taupo so you can be right up to the lake (in town, the road is there) and have the beach out the patio. The flowers on the beach were nice in the late spring. The house had all the conveniences and was clean. The BBQ was a nice touch. The house got only four stars because it the Bachcare stocking of it seemed skimpy - we are expected to clean up but were provided a half roll of paper towels...

"What a pleasant surprise! While the property could stand to use some aesthetic upgrades (eg, the furniture is dated, carpets / lighting fixtures are old, etc), it was otherwise perfect! The location right on the lake with all rooms having a private patio or balcony can’t be beat. The room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the in room hot tub was amazing. Also, the grotto spa at the hotel was great!! We only stayed for 1 night passing through, but wish we had more time to just relax and unwind. "
