We booked the room for 2 nights to ensure that it would be ready when we got there and we would not have to wait for a check in time. Planned to check out around 11 PM The that day for our flight. Hotel is listed as right near airport, and had a shuttle. Actually it is about 10 minutes from the airport in a residential neighborhood with nothing around. No restaurants, stores…nothing. "It’s a hidden Gem in Kandy. Wow what an amazing and most inspiring and magical boutiques hotel. We had a Beautiful modern room with a fantastic view of the city . Wish we had another day to spend in this hotel . The staff and manager went out of their way to serve us and beautifully decorated and very homely 👍. Comfortable and affordable room with a great view

"Cassendra staff eere welcoming and helpful - even before I arrived. They helped me find affordable transport for a day trip and when needed were able to serve my dinner extra quickly. Wifi was touch and go but ultimately held for a few video calls. The hotel is a bit old but rooms are spacious and clean with great bathrooms. The location is know to tuktuk drivers and the mountain offers amazing views. Its also very close to the best Kandyan dancers (5 min walk) and a view point!"

"We really enjoyed our stay here. From arriving, the staff on the front desk and in restaurants were on hand to help every step of the way. Room was really spacious and we loved the balcony overlooking Kandy lake. Pool was small, but good to dip into! Although it was quite chilly. Really great location too. Only thing I would say is housekeeping was quite late in the day!"

"Had a comfortable and luxurious stay here for our first three nights in Sri Lanka. Travelled in June which is off season / monsoonal however we barely saw any rain - sunbaked by the pool most days and was very relaxing to travel in the quiet season - at times had the whole pool and grounds to ourself. Buffet breakfast was incredible and had soooo many options. Grounds were beautifully maintained and the gym was perfect too"
