"Hamish provided a wealth of information that enabled us to make the most of our week. We were traveling with our adult son who travels internationally for business. The property suited us well. We appreciated having two bathrooms, excellent WiFi, and the well equipped kitchen. We found wonderful coffee houses during our drives around the coast. If you are there in the summer, you can enjoy the magnificent beach that is a pleasant 15 minute walk away. We appreciated the heating/cooling units in the bedrooms. After visiting a number of Japanese cities, this stay gave us a glimpse of daily life in a more remote setting."

"If you want to take a step off the beaten track in Japan this is a very good option. The hotel is situated in a very good place to explore the Kyoto on Sea area (this is not Kyoto city). The Hotel will send a minibus at certain times of day to pick new visitors up from the railway station. The hotels offers visitors free bike hire for 4 hours and is relatively close to the bus route for exploring other parts of the area. As this is not a city you are limited in the immediate area for places to eat out. "
