"Gooseberry Cottage is set back in the birch and pine forest on the coast of Madeline Island. It's very peaceful, charming and comfortable. I was there to visit with my best friend from grade school and her significant other and meet other friends and family staying at other cabins on Madeline Island. We buried my parents' ashes in Greenwood Cemetery after a small and convivial service celebrating my mother's life as she died last year. We also walked the beach, visited the cliffs at Big Bay State Park and sent an adventurous group sea kayaking near Cornucopia. It was quite cold at night and we appreciated the cabin's heating! Early June was not yet summer in northern Wisconsin but we loved it!"

"We had a family emergency and came in late. They were very kind and understanding. Had a good breakfast which was convenient and a great bonus for us in the morning."

"Although there is no elevator I had a great room with all the comforts of home. Great working refrigerator great shower,good coffee machine and enough plugs for me to charge all my gear. "

"Very clean and large enough for 9 adults. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes and glassware. The bar area with ice maker and beverage fridge was a great plus. The location was quiet and not too far from town. Owners were great with communication and helpful. "

"Fantastic location. Near Ferry, food, drinks, bike rental downstairs. Walkable location. Only a suggestion is directions on how to control heat. Apt got warm & couldn't figure out how to turn off/ down heat. "

"Very little traffic and very quiet beach. It was early in the year before tourist season but very quiet neighborhood. Would definitely stay here again. House was very clean. "

"A very cozy little cabin! Perfect size for two or small family. Very accommodating hosts. Wonderful weather! Great place to relax; lovely fire pit outdoors. Kitchenware was well stocked. Close to beach and forest for adventuring. Well utilized space. We would very much enjoy returning!!"
