The shallow ledge was particularly useful for my 2 year old to have a little paddle. The trampoline was also a big hit. "It is a beautifully converted old property, with so much characters, but really good modernisations too. The bathrooms are excellent and modern - the two main living rooms have so much charm. The gardens are beautifully kept, the pool is the best I have seen in a gite, and the floodlit boules arena is a delight! "What a lovely property! Lots of space. We were a big family group, mixed ages. The pool was a god send as the weather was tres chaud! Beautiful sunsets. The place was very well equipped. Didn’t use the Moroccan room as it was just too hot for us. The owner was very communicative and helpful to my queries. Nothing was too much trouble. Really nice to receive some wine and coffee on arrival too. If there isn’t any use for the yoga room anymore than that room would be amazing as a family room...

"A traditional French country house, clean and tidy with good facilities. Bikes were helpfully left at the house for us to use. We enjoyed the table tennis table, darts etc on our evenings in. We sadly didn't have very good weather but the garden area, pool etc would be great in the sun. Montboyer is very quiet but the local restaurant and bakery are worth visiting. The house is in a good location for exploring, we loved Aubeterre and Brantome and also had a great day in Cognac."

"We had a perfect stay in Elske’s beautiful property in Chadenac. It is really well equipped with a lovely warm pool and plenty to keep us amused such as basketball, table tennis and trampolining. We were looked after very well by Elske’s Team. It was perfectly situated for trips into the château town of Jonzac and historic Pons and only 40 minutes from the estuary towns of Mortagne and Talmont. A stay here is very highly recommended."
