"Was quiet and very beautiful "

"We needed an overnight stay to connect to another airline the next morning; we were picked up by a very helpful caretaker who stopped at the market for us along the way to our house. He carried all 9 of our bags, showed us around the property, picked bananas, mangoes and coconuts for us from the property; the pool was beautiful and refreshing; the beds were quite comfy; the caretaker took us to the airport very early the next morning to make our connecting flight. This is one VRBO that actually had what the description said it did; Michelle was wonderfully easy to work with; you won’t be disappointed! Terri "

"I don’t know why this hotel has such low ratings. It’s not the newest and best, but it is certainly a great value. The views are fabulous. The pool is extremely nice. The staff efficient and friendly. Located in the middle of everything you need in Belize city. The value is unsurpassed."

"The room and location were great, and the staff was a helpful and friendly. Walking distance to many restaurants and pickup location for most excursions. The only downside was that there was no ice machine, but no big deal. I'd recommend staying here and traveling to San Pedro for a day or two instead of staying in San Pedro if you're coming to Belize."

The staff was warm, attentive, and always made sure we felt comfortable—whether bringing piña coladas to us on the beach or checking in just at the right times. We took a guided tour where we saw nurse sharks up close—an incredible and safe experience. I celebrated my birthday there, and the staff surprised me with a personalized cake and a romantic private dinner. Every detail felt thoughtful and sincere. If you’re looking for privacy, natural beauty, and exceptional service in a quiet, Shaka Caye is the perfect destination. We left completely relaxed and already dreaming of coming back."
