"As a whole, our experience with the property was stressful, difficult to locate, and our expectations were completely misled from reality. The property is 14 miles outside of the main city center (La Spezia). It took us convincing a taxi driver to drive us the 35 minutes from the train station to the rental. "Hotel is outstanding, it’s over 500 years old and it’s immaculate, food was great, very quiet, first time we have ever stayed in a Palace, room was large with a King bed. My only criticism is that it doesn’t have a true shower. Staff were so polite and accommodating ….we loved the place. Shout out to Lucia who checked us in made us feel so welcome. Appreciated Irina’s help this morning on the check out. "
