"We read all the reviews before booking but were astonished that the reality far exceeded our high hopes. It was the most beautiful location, the stunning backdrop of the mountains made time in the gardens magical. Communication prior to our trip was extremely quick, helpful and courteous. On arrival we were met by Stefano who checked us into the property, showed us around and made us feel very settled. He was also extremely helpful throughout our stay making himself available to answer many questions and give recommendations for days out. It was a little slice of tranquility that we were sad to leave, and would recommend highly this property for both young and old, being very well equipped for both. 5*"

"We stay in the area every year to see family, and have always struggled to find a house large enough for us all that is suitable. This house is that and more. The pictures really do not do it justice. The swimming pool is absolutely stunning, and is cleaned every other day. The pool area is a lovely large space we enjoyed daily. I noticed a few comments before our stay about it being too hot without air conditioning and I can say this is just not true. The week we were there temperatures were 33 and we had 3 children in our group and everyone found the evenings very comfortable. Each bedroom has a fan and that is more than sufficient. There is so much room - you have 2 living areas, 2 kitchen areas and the bedrooms, which are all lovely and the beds very comfortable. It is very close to a beautiful town with everything you need and some lovely restaurants. We loved it so much, we have booked for next year! Thank you so much Cristina for your hospitality. "Absolutely unique place, which is hard to find anywhere else. It has everything needed for cooking in the kitchen or bbq’ing on the terrace, and the setting within an old castle complex and in the midst of mountainous nature is just awesome. We had a great time here, even though it was unfortunately very short for us. "

"Our family of nine spent a week here and everyone was enchanted by the gorgeous setting and unusual home. The grounds were breathtaking with the river running behind the house and lots of places to enjoy the outdoors. We saw a family of foxes one night and we enjoyed the fireflies in the evenings. We slept with the windows open and the sound of the river running was beautiful. The house itself was unusual with the features of the ancient mill built into the home. The 5 bedrooms, each with a private bath were perfect for a large family. It was very clean and updated and the bedrooms were comfortable. Our hosts and the property manager were so helpful and they even left us a huge basket of fresh fruit. Our only challenges were the spotty WiFi (likely due to the location and the 9 people trying to use it), and the very American desire for a clothes dryer. We found the kitchen, while nicely equipped, a little difficult to use to prepare large meals, but we made it work. Overall, the home is like no place we have been before and it made our trip unforgettable!"
