This hotel was so beautiful for my wife and I to spend our mini-moon at!! It’s a smaller hotel, but feels intimate and romantic. Beautiful sunset views down the steps towards the beach, we had a wonderful experience here!

I’ve stayed at this hotel many years ago and finally came back to Laguna beach and was excited to stay here again (I forgot the name but seeing pictures helped) and was not disappointed. We got the corner room downstairs and thought it was perfect for a little small family getaway. The front desk girls were absolutely so sweet and helpful that it made the experience all the better. We will be back again!

Disappointed that the hotel really didn't fit the pics on the website. Our king room was cramped and pretty average at best. We've been coming to Laguna for years and this hotel has always been busy and we always stayed across the street until that hotel was closed and renovated after the sale. The location is great and parking is ample and free are pluses. Not much else. Not coming back but it was OK.

I enjoyed the close proximity to all the beaches! We were just steps away from beach access and watching the sunset nearby was great. We also had a bunch of restaurants to choose from nearby that had rooftop bars. I enjoyed the coffee that was 5 minute walking distance near the hotel it was one of the best I’ve had! The place is small and quaint. The view point was decent enough, our balcony was overlooking a house and across the house was where the ocean view was. So it wasn’t completely obstructed. There was construction in front of our building so we didn’t have as much privacy as we wanted on our balcony as there were people working on the house. The air conditioning was great for the summer heat. We had access to coffee and water with ice in the hotel lobby room. Staff was friendly and check in was easy and straight forward. We would stay here again for the price point and for the accessibility near beach access and restaurants.

Misleading. Booked hotel because it said it had direct beach access with chairs and umbrellas. It is next to a public walkway that leads to a public beach…..and chairs, towels, umbrellas all rental from front office. The website made it seem like hotel was beachfront with chairs and umbrellas set up! Rooms are clean but tiny for the price. We had ocean view queen. The shower was horrible! The shower head was not adjustable and sprayed toward back of shower overhead. If you were over 6ft it’d be great, but average 5’6 hard to get water on your body! Water pressure was non existent.

This updated & modernized 1940s hotel was just perfect for me. Not fancy but clean and simple. I had a room (#207) with a view of the ocean horizon. There was an outdoor deck where i could eat breakfast and watch the changing water and the birds. And the moon crossed right in front of the window, sigh. At night I left the door open a little to listen to the water sounds. At the south end of the hotel is a street you can walk down to see the water. No beach sand right now but oh my. The water was filled with surfers and I just stood and watched them. Laguna is where my heart calls home.

The property was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. They offer beach towels, chairs and other beach equipment rentals, which was reasonably priced and convenient. The location was walkable to many restaurant, music venues and of course the beach. We were on the second floor and had a lovely ocean view. One drawback: there was a roofline in front of us that blocked the view of the shoreline, but we could see the ocean. We had a very large deck with a couple of chairs and table for morning coffee or evening cocktail. The room also had a mini fridge, microwave and coffee and light snacks (fruit, yogurt, pastries) were offered in the lobby - all of which were convenient. The bedding was pretty, but the bed was not the most comfortable nor the pillows (not horrible, but not the best) - but the location, conveniences, cleanliness all made up for that. Overall, I would not hesitate to stay there again and again!
