"An amazing place! Our room was clean and spacious. They have a beautiful common lobby and kitchen where you can hangout and interact with other guests. The fridge had a basket for every room, so you can store your perishable food items, very convenient and thoughtful! And as the name suggests, there is a mountain right behind the property. We saw Aoudads, mule deer and a roadrunner. The road leading to the inn from the main street is a bit rough, but driving slow takes care of it. Overall, this is a highly recommended place to stay if you're visiting Fort Davis! "

"The views in this place are incredible, mountains for miles! You can see the sun rise and set from the same comfortable seat. The house is fresh, clean and nicely appointed with a well-stocked kitchen. The host was gracious and kept us informed at all times. And the location is perfect, a relatively short walk to shops and restaurants downtown, and an easy drive to McDonald Observatory. We have stayed many places in Fort Davis over the years and this place is our clear favorite. "

"The house was great however the town didn’t have many restaurant options. I would suggest planning to cook in when you stay unless you’re willing to travel to Marfa or alpine every night for dinner. "
