"We had a wonderful stay in Shanklin. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The beach view was beautiful and relaxing, especially in the evening. We also loved how close the hotel was to the national park and nature walks. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable trip and we would definitely stay here again."

"This hotel is well situated and the reception and bar areas are top class. The staff also are not to be faulted, providing a warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. The bedroom and decor however, leave much to be improved upon. Poor paint finishing, a wash basin in the main bedroom area separate from the shower and toilet, a dreadfully weak shower and a strange pump noise going on throughout the day/night intermittently. All easily remedied which would make this welcoming hotel one of the best in Shanklin I reckon."

"Fantastic stay! We travelled from Birmingham with a baby under 2 and the host was absolutely brilliant — greeted us personally and kindly allowed an early check-in which made such a difference with a little one. The apartment is spotless, well equipped and perfectly located — just a short walk from Sandown Beach. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended! "

"The staff were really lovely, easy check in and easy check out. But, the bathroom had toothpaste marks all over the sink, glass shelf and mirror. The temperature of the shower was either really hot or really cold, you couldn’t change it manually. The hair dryer in the room didn’t work at all. The big bathroom light didn’t work, only a small one above the mirror when you used the shower you could hardly see what you were doing."

"Great views from the bedroom towards the sea (apart from the infamous Shanklin lift shaft). Sun rise while lying in bed was fantastic to see. Staff were great and the food was good. Although some areas were a little worn and could do with a bit of TLC, it was very clean and tidy."

"Booked this hotel as last minute, I come to the island often to visit my dad so this was first time staying somewhere different. Set up more like a b&b than an actual hotel though. John the owner was lovely showed us to our room, and even made sure I knew the code to get back in through the main door. He made us breakfast each morning we were there too which was nice. Only thing id say, is that there was no tea bags or coffee / cups to go with the kettle in the room so had no use being there. Also there was a musty smell in the room. A little bit over priced for what you get. I’ve paid less for other hotels and it’s more modern and has plenty of extras like soaps shower gels tea coffee etc "

"The apartment was excellent. everything you needed for a self catering break. Tv in the bedroom and lounge, lovely shower and comfortable bed. Suntrap patio and only a 5 min walk to the beach. Ally has thiught of everything for your stay especially with the welcome pack of milk, bread, cereals and all the condiments. Would definitely stay again. 10 out of 10"
