The kitchen was well-stocked. The host was very responsive to the issues we encountered, including the collapse of a bed frame and an electrical outage. These problems were resolved quickly."

"Second time my wife and I stayed here and I highly recommend it. This is one of our favorite places to stay when visiting the area. We always check to see if this house is available first. Property is well maintained. Owner is super easy to deal with and very quick with communication. Nothing beats waking up and having a cup of coffee on the deck overlooking Lake Buel. Always a very hard time leaving. Hope to be back in the Spring."

"I loved everything about this property! Communication was easy, the property was as described, It had everything we needed and more. I loved that you could walk off the property onto this dirt road and walk forever with hardly a car passing by with beautiful scenery. The beds were extremely comfortable as well!"

"Wow — what a wonderful experience staying at the Red House on Lake Buel. It exceeded every expectation. The house and the waterfront were exactly as described, and our short stay confirmed that we’ll be back for a much longer visit next summer.The great room truly is great — spacious yet cozy, with a sectional perfect for lounging and watching TV, and dining table seating that looks straight out through the sliding glass doors to the lake. Most of the time, though, we chose to eat on the screened porch, where the large table seats six comfortably (and can stretch to eight).The porch is a highlight: a completely bug free, spectacular view just five feet from the water’s edge. After dinner we’d settle into the four swivel chairs and watch evening settle over the lake. In the mornings, we enjoyed coffee while the sun came up — peaceful, quiet, perfect.During the day we spent our time between the shoreline and the private dock. The owner provides a canoe, rowboat, stand up paddleboard, and two kayaks, so exploring the lake was easy and fun. There’s even a 10-foot lily pad that became an instant favorite for floating and relaxing.We can’t wait to return next summer. We are going to bring the whole family."

"Casa Mia was the perfect home base for our family vacation to the Birkshires. The house is comfortable, clean, and spacious. The heated pool, hot tub, fire pit, and little hiking trail offered great outdoor entertainment for us. And the area is beautiful. So nice to open the windows at night and just hear the woods. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"The location was outstanding. Pictured didn’t do the location justice for just how beautiful the setting and views are of the lake. The home was cozy and inviting with a quirky layout that suited our multi generational family just perfectly. There were indoor and outdoor toys for the grandkids who are 2.5. There were ample outdoor activities and water vessels to fish and tour the lake. It was serene and peaceful and just what we needed for an extended weekend away. We vacationed with our children and their children and our parents and all were enamored with the location and the views and the sheer beauty the location held. The hosts were responsive and welcoming and we can’t wait to come back again - spring summer or fall it’s a gem of a rental!!"
