"We were amazed at the beauty of this location. The “Cabin in the Sky” is charming and well appointed with everything we needed. The cabin is obviously well loved and cared for. It’s quite the treasure. The town of Index is rich with local history and a testimony to the hard work of those who preceded us. Then there’s the mountains!! Must have taken 30 photos at different times of the day. Will enjoy editing them and sharing them with friends and family. We were very impressed with how well the owner communicated with us, making for a problem free arrival and departure. We hope to return sometime when those mountains are covered with snow."

"For a second year, this place was our base camp as we hiked the area! Peace, nature, and seclusion make this place special. The fire pit and hot tub were our favorite amenities. The process was smooth and the host communicated well. Hope to return again!"

"We were in town for a somber occasion & when we arrived, we felt like we had stepped into a lil fairytale cabin in the woods. It was exactly as described, the view was absolutely breathtaking, and it could not have been more peaceful & serene. The perfect place to completely relax. The hosts were wonderful, provided the sweetest welcome & moved around in absolute silence if they were there. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for a couple’s getaway. I am already missing coffee on the balcony or dock & the stunning lake view."

"This was a great little place to stay. I just needed somewhere for the night. It was clean, quiet. My room had a full refrigerator sink. Microwave was a great room. Was it a five-star hotel? No, but I don't need that. So if you just need a great little place to stay for the night, come here."
