Everyone is Welcome at Silver Tree Cabin and pets always stay free! Please know the cabin is sanitized after every guest from countertops to door knobs.
Just a few minutes drive from the lake, this charming log cabin is nestled on a private 3.2 acre wooded ridge (paved road) overlooking the beautiful mountains of Hickory Nut Gorge. This is the perfect getaway for those looking for a serene and natural atmosphere, while still only minutes from the beautiful resort town of Lake Lure and Chimney Rock.

The cabin offers two bedrooms and two baths with a futon and full bed on the lower level game room for additional sleeping. You will enjoy beautiful mountain views from the spacious wrap-around decks with gas grill, hammock, and rocking chairs. The full kitchen has everything you need for a romantic dinner for two or a family feast. The living room has a 32' television with satellite programming, DVD library, Wi-Fi Internet connection and a cozy gas fireplace.

After a busy day of sight-seeing, relax in the game room with Foosball, darts, a second TV/DVD player, board games & stereo.

The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of dishes and utensils as well as a microwave, toaster and coffee bar. On pleasant afternoons you may choose to cook on the gas grill on the deck. You can enjoy your meal on the deck or at the oak dining table overlooking the deck through sliding doors.

The basement game room provides fun for all ages with a competition grade foosball table, darts and beautiful log bar. You can also step out on the lower deck and enjoy the views. This room also contains a futon and full bed for additional sleeping.

Whether you’re looking for family fun or a romantic get-away, Lake Lure has something for everyone. Nearby you’ll can enjoy golfing, boating, hiking, shopping, numerous outdoor activities and much more.

I love this cozy clean cabin

Very Peaceful and spacious place to stay!

The property is in a perfect location only a few minutes from Lake Lure. It felt private but safe. Our dogs had fun too! The overall feel is laid back and the cabin was clean!

Wonderful Privacy

Outstanding visit to Lake Lure. The property is perched on top of a small mountain and you feel like your miles away, but in reality you are extremely close to town. Definitely would stay again and recommend to anyone looking for peace and quiet.

Great Fall getaway

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cabin. Perfect layout for us, our daughter & son-in-law and their infant daughter. Private, with lovely view from the wrap-around porch. Well stocked with everything we needed. Easy access to restaurants, grocery store and walking trails. The Flowering Bridge is a must see!

Perfect Place

We really enjoyed our time at Silver Lake. It rained everyday but there was enough entertainment at the house to keep us busy. The arts, games and movies were so much fun. Kitchen was fully stocked and there were plenty of beds for all 5 of us. Can’t wait to come back.

We really enjoyed our stay in the cabin and Lake Lure. Chimney Rock is definitely a must see. The cabin was clean and comfortable. There were a few minor repairs that could be taken care of such as the kitchen light switch but nothing that isn't due to just regular wear and tear. Wayne, Host, was very accommodating and Betty Jo, the housekeeper, was very helpful with a question I had. If we are ever in this area again I would rent this cabin.

Awesome!

This cabin was perfect for a quick getaway. It’s within driving distance to almost everything. The cabin was also very clean, roomy and nicely put together with no odors. The only downside was the numerous bees flying around outside which made it very uncomfortable to take my dog to the bathroom throughout the day and to relax on the upper and lower decks/porches. Also, the fenced in backyard is incredibly steep and hard to navigate if you aren’t extremely careful. The views from the decks are beautiful. Overall I would definitely stay here again and would suggest it to others.

Great memories!

Family went for a short 4 day trip and had a great time. Cabin was great, older, but was perfect for us. Well stocked and clean. For future boaters, there really isn’t a parking place for a boat, but Wayne was accommodating and allowed us to park in a different area. It is windy, mountain road, so a boat in the winter would be hard too! The town is nice and the cabin was not far from the lake and Chimney Rock. A chain grocery was not far either and this was great when you realize you forgot something for the trip! We also brought our dogs and there is a fenced in area in the backyard which was great. Small, older dogs may have a harder time due to the decline from the cabin, but that was not a big deal as we just picked her up to bring her in. Overall, nice stay and would return!
