"We have stayed at this property in the past and this time it just seemed dirty. The swimming pool was broken. The gal at the front desk was less than friendly. I remember the breakfast being pretty good because they had fresh yogurt and that was still the case. And they have berries for the yogurt and they had some fresh fruit so the coffee and the breakfast was good. All in all, we won’t stay there again. We go to Alec frequently because we have family living there and we’ve stayed at the best Western a few times but we won’t stay again after this last time."

"Property seemed kind of run down. Room was ok, nothing fancy by a long shot. I was disappointed that it did not have any complimentary soap or shampoo included. Luckily I had some with me. No TV guide so finding something to watch was tedious. Breakfast was ok but not nothing hot other than the waffles (which are always tasty!). All in all it was a place to sleep and I guess this is what $100 gets you any more."

"The room was spotless, smelled wonderful and was nice and cool on a hot day. We stayed in a wheelchair accessible room and I was able to move around the room easily. The bathroom was huge with an accessible shower. They offered what looked like a great breakfast but we needed to leave. We will absolutely stay again, highly recommend."

"We have stayed here many times, this hotel is showing its age, I was told it was sold out when asked to upgrade to pool side instead of being shoved in the way back corner, it was not fully booked, actually hardly anyone was there, so that was upsetting, having to walk so far, when there were a lot of pool sides open."

"The Little Loon Cottage is a very cute, neat, and clean house. So much of the house looks brand new. The 2nd bedroom is a little small for 2 adults, but the size of the kitchen, dining room & living room more than make-up for the tight bedroom. The 4 of us really enjoyed relaxing together in the living room. We used the clothes washer & dryer & they were both full size appliances!Our host, Jennifer, was so helpful with offering suggestions of things to do. She was also very quick responding to questions.The 4 of us were bicycling from Fargo, ND to Minneapolis. We really appreciated the cottage being ideally located for walking downtown to good restaurants and walking to a grocery store. Alexandria has a lot to offer."
