"We spent one night here and it completely exceeded our expectations. The location was quiet, peaceful and all the amenities were very clean and modern. We were awaken by a choir of birds, with a backdrop of lush green mountains to sooth our souls. The owners are extremely kind and made sure we had everything we needed. "The room was very clean and comfortable, checking in was reasonably easy checking out was also easy. They don’t necessarily serve breakfast, but you get complementary coffee, tea juice as well as they have some bread rolls to choose from. It seems to be more in a residential area, but that is not necessarily a bad thing, you can also rent bikes from them at your leisure. It is very convenient for exploring around the lake area by Fuji."

"Very friendly staff at the counter, but they weren’t allowed to watch our bags after checking out early. Very inconvenient very late check-in time of 8pm. Watch out and be aware. However, the room was the smallest we experienced, but the price was not. Very modern very clean toilet and shower. Free water in the fridge for you."

"My son and I were visiting the Tachikawa area for an event and stayed in Hachioji for four nights at the b Hachioji. Hachioji was a convenient 3 stops down the Chuo line and the hotel was a pleasant less than 10 minute walk from the Hachioji train station. As visitors from the US we found the area easy to navigate and the b Hachioji hotel excellent for foreign visitors. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were a good size (keep in mind most hotel rooms in Japan feel small by US standards) -- we had 2 beds and our non-smoking room had no evidence of smoking from the past. The hotel has a nice coffee and water station in the lobby that I took advantage of daily (although we never made it for the free evening pancakes from 6-8 PM). There is ample food nearby (special shoutout to the Matsunoya katsu chain around the corner), 3 major drug store chains, and all 3 major convenience store chains. I would highly recommend b Hachioji for foreign visitors."
