Family groups or groups ages 30+ ONLY.
Rugby/Hockey/Lacrosse teams are NOT ALLOWED.

Our charming cottage, Adirondack-style home, is located in the heart of Lake Placid, in a quiet residential neighborhood, just two blocks (a 3-minute walk) from Main St. shopping and restaurants. Hillcrest Park is located steps away with a full playground for children. Our home sleeps 10 comfortably. Bedrooms are air-conditioned during the summer months. A large screened-in porch, fenced-in yard and sun deck with a gas grill allows you to enjoy some outdoor fun, and don't forget to stop in the outdoor hot tub for a dip! Inside, enjoy the wood-burning Vermont stove in the living room, or watch a great movie in the cozy den while your children enjoy playing some air hockey/ping-pong in the furnished basement. Off-street parking allows for three (3) small cars or two (2) SUVs. The property is semi-wooded with a mix of White Pine, Birch, Aspen, and Scotch Pine. Views of High Peaks to the southwest.
*Cameras are installed outside the property facing property entrances to be used for the owner's security and safety of the premises. Permit STR-200301.

Beautiful and spacious home, lots of great flex space to spread out in. Plenty of amenities, walkable to downtown, doesn't get any better than this in Lake Placid!

Home was spacious with both livingroom and family room for adults and kids to comfortably relax. There was an unexpected issue with bathroom fixtures and TV, but owner and property manager were responsive promptly. Barring those this was a 5 star property.

Nice house, nice location. Had little contact with the host but didn't need to; everything was in good condition--the path in was all ice but it has been that kind of winter. They might have a bucket of sand instead of the salt.

Host was very responsive but property manager was not - we had an issue with oil leaking in the basement related to heat in the house and while it was fixed in a few hours it was frustrating. The place in general is really cold (bedrooms don’t have a lot of heat) so highly recommend bringing extra blankets in the winter. Hot tub was great and location was incredible. Hosts are really kind ! I think we got unlucky with visiting one of the coldest weekends of the year.

The place was clean and great location however the heating was a bit wonky. The basement area was freezing and the last day we were there the house was 52 and we couldn’t get it higher. I figured we were leaving so it wasn’t worth a message to owners. I did let them know after. Kitchen was well stocked. Claw tub in upstairs bathroom was a bit difficult to get in and out of .. Hot tub was too far away for comfortable use as you’d have to go thru the snow to get there. Fireplace was nice and beds were comfortable. We

We were in this house for a very short stay. It was perfect for our group of 6 and is in a great location. Close enough to center of Lake Placid without being in the thick of activity. Also only a 20 minute drive to Van Hoevenberg trailhead to climb Mt Marcy, which was our reason for being there. Clean, well maintained and cozy space. We really enjoyed our visit!

Great location and comfortable stay! House was well equipped with just about everything we needed. The only reason this isn't a 5 star review is because the basement (where the games and game room were located) was damp and musty, and the top railing of the kid's bunkbed was hardly attached. Both of these issues were shared with the property manager and will hopefully be fixed in the future. I'd also say that this house is better suited for families with kids ages 4/5 and up - it wasn't the best place to have my toddler running around, but we made it work! Still, the house itself was great for our 10 person group, which included my family, my in-laws and my sister-in-law's family. Lots of places to sit and eat, plenty of dishes, glasses and silverware to go around, and plenty of comfortable couches and chairs to relax in as well. We loved that we could walk to main street and avoid dealing with parking in town - but word to the wise, make sure you are prepared for lots of walking up and down hills to do this. We didn't mind, but some people might!

This was one of the best rental properties we’ve found anywhere! The location close to town was amazing, and the property itself was beautiful and so comfortable for our family of 4. We would choose to stay here again with another family (could comfortably host up to 10), and any time of year. It would also be wonderful in spring/fall using the fire pit, and the hot tub is wonderful any time of year! (Even in July when temperatures overnight drop to 50). Wonderful property and hosts.

Wonderful and spacious house! Very close to Main Street. Very comfortable beds and super clean place! Host was quick and responsive when I asked where the coffee filters were (in a cupboard I didn’t look in lol). The kitchen has everything. We rented Stand Up Paddle Boards from Locker Room 5,…highly recommend! Would only recommend a/c downstairs (bedrooms have window units which worked well)

Charming Stay in Lake Placid

Well located home, short walk to Main Street and less than 15 min walk to Mirror Lake Beach. There’s a very convenient playground less than half a block from the house for the kids, and the front yard is totally fenced in too. The house was very clean, but there are some spaces that could use some updating. Overall, a sweet home that had everything four adults and five kids needed! Oh and towels were provided which is a nice plus!

Great place and location

We had a great time on our girls golf trip here. Walking distance to the restaurants, bars, and shops on Main Street. Great outdoor area. It was chilly, so we spent a lot of time outside by the fireplace. Nice neighborhood. Basement had ping pon and foosball, so we got into that as well. Basement smelled a little musty, but it’s a basement so not a big deal!! Really great spot and perfect for our 8 person group! Would definitely stay again!

Beautiful house, great location

My group of six adults fit very easily in this house. The location is perfect. It is a quick walk to main Street and the lake. The grocery store is right around the corner. There is comfortable seating and sleeping options for all. The communication with the owner/manager was easy and instructions were clear. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful place

This is a fantastic, cozy place that's a great retreat. All the amenities you could ever need, and a great layout. Super basement for gear storage and management for outdoor sports as well. Already can't wait to go back!

We had high expectations

The game room is not as it appears in the description. It's a very small room with a futon and a Foosball table, no tv and very cold. Air hockey was fine ping-pong was a table top that goes over the air hockey game There is also only 1 tv in the entire house.

Cousins' winter reunion

Our family and my cousin's family (six kids btw 11-18) enjoyed our winter reunion at this charming home! Plenty for the kids to do in the evening along with daytime outdoor activities that were close by. We had a fabulous stay!
