"The hotel is located in the wonderful setting of Ickworth Park. Lots of fantastic walks and no traffic to disturb the tranquility of the countryside. We usually stay in the Premier Inn in Bury St Edmunds when visiting our son but, surprisingly, that chain is now outpricing itself against much more superior hotels such as this one. The bedroom retained all its charm of a bygone age including what appeared to be some of the original antique furniture. We had a wonderful view overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was excellent. Plentiful parking. Highly recommended."

"Fantastic accommodation. Clean and well equipped. Nice food at George and Dragon pub. Only 1 thing would have improved our stay and that would be table and chairs to sit outside. Highly recommended place to stay"

"We had the most relaxing time on our 3 night stay. Lovely welcome and a very comfortable room ( with a balcony over looking the river). Definitely worth booking the breakfast - more than value for money. Ate there each evening too, came home feeling a tad full! "
