10/10 Excellent

"Shame to see old school honeymoon resorts fall out of favor with the now crowd. Falling revenue and climbing maintenance is strangling this once iconic resort. The staff appears to love what they do and do it exceptionally well. They do their best with what they have and made my stay an enjoyable one, adding a check to a bucket list item. Thanks to the staff for all of your hard work and dedication!"

"Great pool, free lobby coffee and tea, easy check-in/check-out; property was welcoming to a large group; rooms were top notch. One worker seemed very confused about how to obtain pool towels, however the rest of the workers throughout the stay were functional and successful at things. Breakfast was delightful and the breakfast attendants were helpful and took their jobs very seriously. Gus the Groundhog, their property whistle-pig, cordially chowed on spilled Fruit Loops on the back patio while the rest of us dined indoors. Pool area restroom was that of a privately-owned gas station along the back roads of West Virginia, while being accessible only from the outside and with a key from "the attendant." The overhead light was a strobe light, the concrete walls and floor had last been cleaned before it was built. The door worked well though, and the toilet flushed. There was no toilet paper. Would stay again."

"Everything was great, especially the young blonde front desk agent when we checked in. Super friendly, informative, and efficient. However, the next morning when we came back from breakfast, a new older front desk agent with glasses was there and she had a giant unleashed pitbull with her, and it was blocking the front door when we opened, it the pitbull would not move. The front desk agent was not necessarily concerned about it, and kind of got irritated when I commented that it was ridiculous that an Unleashed pitbull was blocking the front door of a hotel. Her excuse was that her electricity was out and she had to bring her dog to work. I’m sorry, but that’s ridiculous and the dogs should’ve been chained up. Come on. It’s a pitbull. My son opened the front door of the hotel and was greeted by an unwavering giant pitbull."
