Our TV was not working either, it would turn on but it would freeze at the welcome page. I paid $600 for this place it’s definitely not worth that much."

"Bed sheets were too small for the bed, there was dirt around the bottom of the tiles in the bathroom. They gave us 2 towels and 2 hand towels, no face clothes. The window frames were gross and no screens on the window and the ceilings were peeling. The rafters they have open in there were split and not that we did it but if someone decided to hang from them they could get hurt. I folded up the sofa bed so we could use the couch and there was dirt all over underneath of it. I would hate to see...

"If you are traveling for history and historic beauty this is the place, but like a very old Jaguar, even when restored is going to be a bit...unreliable. The hot water, once you turned on all the taps to get it, lasted three minutes...if you are old or disabled, the stairs are a challenge, the AC struggles to keep the room cool and this is when we are not in a heat wave...no refrigerator to keep your food cool, either. It is a beautiful hotel, but not a practical place...like an old Jaguar."

"We stayed in an apartment at South Shore Suites and had an excellent experience. The place was spotless, very clean, and well maintained. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning was a great plus during our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, and we appreciated the thoughtful detail of having coffee available for the coffee maker. "The Ashwood Inn is a lovely place to stay in Central Huron. It’s very close to Grand Bend, Goderich and Bayfield. Many of the best beaches on Ontario’s West Coast are just minutes away. I would highly recommend staying here as the rooms are spacious, it’s very quiet, and the staff were very helpful."

"Staff excellent rooms very run down. Bathroom in poor shape, curtains don't fit windows , doors stick when you open or close it. Beds way too soft. Hotel needs a lot of up grading."

"I booked for my mom as were relocating her down, the owners are lovely and you can see where they are doing renovations, I do believe the other rooms are renovated to what the photos look but the room we ended up with was at the starting stages of renovations, patchwork on the walls and minor aesthetic issues, but for the price and the care of my mom's wellbeing from the staff I can't really complain about the room not being like the photo. Would book again"

"Didn't stay there. Websight said vacancies, i booked. When i got there they said they were full. They shuffled me off to their friends motel that i had stayed at before and did want to stay again because of mould. Exhausted, I stayed. Got sick, went to hospital. All arrangements between friends carried out in language i did not know. I felt ' managed' and basicaly an inconvenience to these men. "
