Excellent pub B and B

Room was air-conditioned and cool when we arrived on a very hot day. The evening menu at the pub has a wide choice and the food and drinks were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend

Friendly pub with air conditioned bedroom!

Welcoming pub with accommodation. The homemade pie that I had for my evening meal was excellent, and breakfast was served quickly and with a smile. The bedroom had air conditioning, which on a weekend when temperatures were 30 degrees plus made a huge difference to the stay.

Great rooms!

It was very comfortable staying at The Old Pound Inn. The rooms were thoughtfully furnished. They had good lighting, plenty of plugs and even a small fridge!

Staff polite and friendly. Room very clean with all the facilities needed. Well cooked and presented breakfast. Room a little musty until aired and furniture slightly tired, but not a problem. Excellent VFM

A night near Langport

It is a lovely little village. Nice location for us as a stopover between Devon and Dorset. The staff were friendly and we were given a family room which is big and comfy (room 8), one of the best we had stayed. There is a restaurant which has a good selection of food on the menu. However I found the food ordinary for the price they charge. Apart from that, it was a good place to stay.

Nice country pub, room for solo occupant just right with comfortable bed, although would have liked a chair rather than stool. Good sized shower. Tv had internet connection. Good meals without being fancy and interesting beers

Great country pub

Lovely to see a proper village pub so busy on a couple of weekday nights in Mid-January. And quite rightly so - friendly staff, friendly locals and friendly guests. Breakfasts were great, dinners delicious and very reasonably priced (wife said the Rib-eye steak was the best 'pub steak' shed ever had and my chicken goujons were fantastic.

Simply the Best

Bedroom very clean and bed really comfortable. Shower excellent, shower cream & body lotion, fluffy white towels hairdryer all in room. Tea & coffee AND hot chocolate, BISCUITS & enough milk. Just as it should be everywhere. Breakfast excellent thanks Lea, superb. All staff very welcoming, polite, friendly & knew what they were doing.

A very "local"local pub. Very friendly and helpful staff and landlady, and also friendly helpful locals. Good breakfasts. We ate one night in the bar - proper pub grub! Great location for us going to events in South Petherton and Glastonbury. Lovely area - noted the South Somerset Cycle route for another time1
