My wife and I really enjoyed our recent stay. Caught several fish off the dock. Enjoyed relaxing and drinking wine on the outdoor deck. Would definitely stay here again!!
We stayed here with my husband and two kids. This was a much needed vacation for our family and it was beautiful and very relaxing!!! We went to 4 state parks in 4 days. It was a great location between the parks. We really enjoyed our time!
This is our 2nd time staying here!! Excellent cabin for a fishing trip!! Perfect location on the lake with your own dock to tie up your boat!! If you’re looking for something to rent on Guntersville this is it!!
This cabin was the perfect spot for our annual fishing trip on the Tennessee River. Great views, amenities, and location to get out and enjoy the beautiful section of Tennessee River that is Guntersville Lake. The cabin has everything you need to enjoy some leisure time with family and friends.
This house is so nice and you immediately feel at home when you walk in the door. Super clean and right on the water. It is a good little drive back to Guntersville if you like eating out or need to shop. But us and the kids loved our stay there.. definitely recommend
Such a fun, comfy lake house. Lots of places to relax outdoors or inside to take in the view. GPS took us right to the house, and there was plenty of parking. Internet was spotty, but then, we weren’t there to watch TV (and inclement weather could have contributed). Beds and couches were comfortable, and we loved the outdoor areas too. Not having a full size oven cramped our plans a bit when planning meals, but we adapted with the toaster oven. We had a great time here and would love to visit in the future if we are in the area again.
The house had plenty of room and comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the lake view from in the house and porch deck. The kids really enjoyed being there. Fishing was fair we did catch few. The lake grass around dock was thick made it difficult to fish. Other than the lake grass could not have been much better. Checking in and checking out was easy process.
We had the opportunity to stay for two weeks at this amazing property! House was clean and description was spot on! The stairs to the boat house were a little hard on my parents. At this time of the year weather was rough some days and wind blew right at boat causing us a few problems. One other thing to report for future guest there is no oven and toaster oven is provided but if you don’t cook it’s about 20 minutes to town to eat anywhere overall we enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely rent this place again!
We had a very relaxing time at Pate Lake House. It was so peaceful and not much boat traffic. One really nice thing was the property, and dock, had lots of space between other houses and docks. The only reason I didn’t give the overall a 5 was because we weren’t able to swim due to the mass amounts of grass at dock (at the swim ladder you couldn’t get in without jumping, or even easing into, a mass amount of grass). For some it may not matter. It was also a struggle to tie boat up at dock because of grass. The dock power wasn’t working, but the owner was very helpful in letting us use one of their extension cords. Overall it’s a wonderful place to stay for a long weekend getaway.
The house on the lake was perfect for our family. It was a quiet area to just relax and play in the water. The private dock was a good area to fish off of, or to just jump in and float around. This is definitely a place we want to visit again.
