"We had a very enjoyable stay at the GDM Megaron. Our junior suite, with its balcony overlooking the harbour, was a real highlight and offered beautiful views. The only minor drawback was the lack of a table and chairs on the balcony, which would have made it easier to sit and enjoy the view for longer.
Breakfast offered an impressive variety of choices, while dinner was beautifully prepared. The menu was somewhat limited, but this was only a minor inconvenience, especially as the hotel’s central location meant that plenty of restaurants were within easy walking distance. We therefore enjoyed dining out on most evenings.
The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The rooftop pool was another pleasant feature, although its small size meant it could feel a little limited when several guests were using it.
Overall, the GDM Megaron is a stylish hotel in an excellent location, with wonderful staff, comfortable accommodation and a lovely atmosphere. Despite the limited dinner menu and small rooftop pool, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Heraklion."
