"I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Restaurant Schwyzerhuesli. I was in Viernheim to visit family and the hotel was very well situated for me to walk to family. The hotel was very clean and charming and the food at the restaurant was fantastic! My only negative comment is that I could easily hear people in the corridor and outside the hotel in the middle of the night. This didn't bother me much, as I could get back to sleep, but the noise did wake me. "

"We thought breakfast was included in our stay. When we booked with Expedia. So we were there for 3 nights and we were charged for (2x3) 6 breakfast. The hotel is across from the train station. Great location, great staff.great buffet breakfast. "

"Property is in an excellent location. The Altstadt is outside the back of the property and the shopping area is a block away. Parking is underground. The breakfast was great with everything you could want. The room we had overlooked the Altstadt area and was clean and quiet. If we return to Heppenheim this would our hotel of choice. Very highly recommend."

"We arrived much later at night than expected and I was worried about the lack of 24 hour desk but we did get the lock box figured out (once you get the key, it's the entrance right next to the lock box, only a few staeps away) and finally got to our room. Without an elevator, the steps were hard on my not-so-great knee, but we made it to find a huge room for our family of four. It's more like an apartment. The bed was comfortable, the couch was already made up for our boys to sleep on, there was one fan we made work for everyone, and we did not need to use the kitchen but it looked like it was stocked with enough dishes and tools to make work. The bathroom was decent, the shower is old but drained fine, plenty of hot water and enough pressure. On our way down to breakfast, we could see a lot of the construction going on (rooms with unbuilt furniture, construction supplies, etc) but nothing out and in the way that I remember. Breakfast was sufficient, typical German variety, it definitely filled us up. The decor throughout the entire building is different than typical hotels but fun different. With free parking and breakfast along with the huge room, we would definitely stay again if we visit Mannheim or maybe Heidelberg. "

"Good hotel with spacious room and bathroom, clean comfy bed, welcoming staff. Easy access to old town centre by foot and plenty of parking (although it was not obvious how to get there). We also appreciated a good breakfast choice and quality, even though we seemed to be the only residents that day. Recommended."

"This hotel is an excellent place to stay if you want to be away from the big city and enjoy the small town feel. The rooms are modern, clean, and the staff friendly. The parking situation was difficult to figure out and is limited to a handful of vehicles. The hotel has its own restaurant and there are three other restaurants around the square. We stayed during the month of June and the daytime high temperatures varied from around 65F to 75F during our stay. There was no air conditioning for our room, but the windows opened allowing for the cool night air. One day, construction started on a neighboring building just before 6:00AM and was very loud which woke me up. I do not recommend staying at this hotel in the middle of the summer unless you don't mind waiting until the late evening for the room to cool off."
