"The hotel was super clean and the grounds were beautiful… very well taken care of. Housekeeping only comes once during your stay (on Mondays) While we would have preferred daily the hotel is more than happy to provide you with anything that you need in the meantime. We had a minor issue with a bad sewage smell, that was in the hallway outside our room. The manager took the time to address it, provide a timeline and did improve the situation, which we greatly appreciated. The location is great, but you will definitely need to rent a car to get around. Also, be careful driving up…there are some major potholes on the road leading to the hotel (not the hotels fault, just a heads up) All in all, we were really happy with our stay. The service was excellent, everyone was so kind, and we’d definitely come back. Highly recommend!"

"I came to St Maarten for the sunshine and the ocean and the Flamingo was the perfect choice. The property was well maintained and everyone was friendly. I’m giving it 5 stars with a couple of small complaints. The room had a slight musty / mildew smell - not terrible but noticeable. Maybe that’s to be expected with the climate. Also, I waited until 4 or 5 for housekeeping to clean but never came back to a clean room. At around 4 or 5 I put up the Do Not Disturb sign. Not a very big deal and I’m sure if I needed anything, the hotel would have been happy to provide. Maybe housekeeping doesn’t come with the VRBO rental? The area was beautiful with several restaurants within walking distance. There is a little grocery very close by and a wonderful bakery about 3/4 of a mile away (La Sucriere) with the best flan I have ever had. The bus stop was about 1/2 a mile away. I take public transportation when I travel all the time but people are right, if you want to get around easily you should rent a car. I took the bus twice and it was fine to get me in the general vicinity of where I was going but with no bus route maps, it’s a little tricky. All in all I enjoyed the Flamingo and Simpson Bay. It was just what I needed. "

"We chose the property based on proximity to family in the neighborhood and we could not have been happier with our selection. The private pool and access to beach was wonderful. The facility was beautiful and clean and suited our needs perfectly as the en suite bathroom for each bedroom was great."

"We were SO pleased with this beautiful villa. We were a group of 3 couples (6 people total), so there were actually several unused beds and an extra bedroom to spare. The two upper bedrooms are massive, with 2 king beds in each room. All bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, plus there is an extra 5th bathroom. All bathrooms are spacious, with beautiful new fixtures/ finishes and nice bath/beach towels; the beds are very comfortable, with nice linens; the common areas are large and well-furnished. The tile floors are beautiful throughout. The kitchen is adequately furnished, although we didn't do any major cooking, other than breakfast. We absolutely LOVED the beachfront patio with soaking pool - it was larger than I expected and there was plenty of room for the 6 of us. We spent a TON of time out there. Being on the quiet and very private beach was also wonderful - although there are some rocky areas, there is more than enough sandy beach to enjoy. We swam and snorkeled in the ocean, just steps from our patio! Each villa is adjacent to one another, but thankfully we didn't have any major issues with any neighbors (other than the last couple of days, when the next door neighbors partook in some 'substances' which included a very strong smoke/odor!). As far as location - it is within walking distance of so many great restaurants, bars and a nice little grocery store - all came in very handy! We didn't rent a car, but also hired taxis. Would DEFINTELY stay again!"
