In summer, take advantage of the free shuttle service from Le Château-d'Oléron to explore the island in comfort. Take a boat trip with a view of the famous Fort Boyard or plan day trips to Royan, the picturesque town of Cognac or La Palmyre Zoo. The towns of La Rochelle and Île de Ré are also easily accessible by car.
