"The house is located on top of a hill surrounded by beautiful countryside. The owners who live next door were very kind and helpful. There are only two houses on that hill. They are totally isolated, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. The house is well equiped with everything you need. We spent a lovely week. Château de la Roche is worth a visit, as well as Lyon easily reachable by train from Tarare a town half an hour away from the gîte. ."

"We had a fantastic stay here in the house and used the pool a lot! A great halfway point between Calais and Nice if driving down. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. When we stayed the temperature was over 30 degs outside but it did not feel too warm inside which was helpful. "Definitely motel-like, I wouldn’t call it a hotel but maybe this is a hotel in Lyon? It’s okay. I had my two nights traveling in between countries and it was safe, the shower was good and the bed was clean & comfortable. I really didn’t expect it to be so far away from anything (thank goodness for the bus & train). There were these red stains on the carpet, the toilet seat was a bit loose and over all, a bit of a strange fit for that toilet but, there you go! Some peeling at the baseboards but otherwise, fine. Not a 5 ⭐️ place or stay but it did the job and the staff were friendly 😁"
