"The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. All spectacular. The two rooms were spacious enough and clean to our liking, affordable, the staff friendly and Chamonix a half hour drive away. "

"To say that the photographs of the apartment were misleading would be a misuse of the term. Totally mis-representational would be more appropriate (it was a completely different space). On arrival, there was no-one there to give us keys and no-one answered the phone when we tried repeatedly to call. "Great place to stay, just off the village square, right next to the Mont Blanc Hotel, and two minutes walk from Le Chamois Télécabine. A quiet, calm and convenient location - especially for getting on the first lifts. Could do with refreshing the cutlery and crockery as a couple of items missing, but that is the worst it gets. The only word of warning, make sure you order the bedding and towels beforehand as they are not included in the base price. "

"This was literally the absolute worst hotel (really, it was more like a hostel) that I have stayed in either stateside or abroad. The property only allows you to communicate with them during two short periods daily around check-in and out. Their information indicates check in is not on the property. "A l’arrivé, pas de code d’entrée ni la clé. On a du appelé plusieurs fois pour obtenir cela. 1/2h plus tard, rentée dans l’appart, surprise, le lieu n’était pas nettoyé. Il y a tu des traces de chips, poussière gris au sol, sous le lit. "There’s so much I like about this unassuming three star hotel. Firstly, it doesn’t have the pretentiousness of a big brand. The guy behind the reception desk didn’t push the breakfast option like so many other places do. He simply said that we could make our minds up on the day and pay the same rate as anyone else. We decided to opt for breakfast and we weren’t disappointed. It was fairly comprehensive aside from fruit compote which I particularly like, but there was Swiss bircher to try instead. Attention to detail like having two single duvets on the double bed meaning that you can fight as much as you like over the covers but you’re only pulling your own and not your partner’s. We had a spacious room on floor six with a balcony. It was clean and most importantly warm on a cold winter’s day in December. "
